I'll buy a Sonoff because of the housing.
Can you share a tutorial about how to flash it?

thanks

I have experimented with three different firmwares for the Sonoffs:
* EspEasy
* Espurna
* Tasmota

Each one has it's pros and cons, IMHO.
With Espeasy it is very easy (!) to add various sensors, temperature, humidity etc. However, I cannot get it to listen to MQTT for the switch. Compilation was a breeze, and there is also a precompiled image to flash directly.
I have the feeling that the Espurna works better with the Sonoff Power measurements, and it supports the button to to turn the device on/off, as well as MQTT. However, you had to manually source libraries from various places to get it to compile.
Tasmota is lean and mean, but I had a harder time compiling the stuff. This firmware is more technical than the espurna or espeasy ; you have to set \#defines in a user_config.h, and put all your wifi settings there as well: no easy first-connect like with the other two. The web interface is very clean and suitable for mobile devices.

Your mileage may vary.

I should write a blog post about these findings...
