Domoticz harmony hub does not show up in homekit

Post by drewthor »

Version: 3.8153
Platform: Debian stable latest
Hardware: harmony hub
Description:

I have set up home bridge and installed domoticz homebridge and set up my config file. I can add the bridge to my home.app on iOS, but the harmony hub that I have added as a device in domoticz does not show up. Do I also need to set up harmony hub control? Anything I am missing? The harmony hub is not in the excluded devices, and the harmony hub activities show up in Devices. Do I need to set up scenes or something else in Domoticz?

Thanks for help, I am new and have searched all I can, but seem to be stuck.

Here's what I get when querying one of the harmony activities in the devices section of domoticz
{
"ActTime" : 1517716494,
"status" : "OK",
"title" : "Devices"
}

Switching the on/off button in domoticz for the activities (which weirdly the activities are duplicated) does not appear to actually do anything. However, the logs are up to date to when I use the harmony remote.

You need to click the green arrows to make those devices active so that they appear under the "Switches" tab. Once that's done, Homebridge-edomoticz should just detect them as regular switches same as any other (after you've restarted homebridge).

Thanks so much; works perfectly for turning things on! Do you know how to get the activity to turn off when I turn the switch off in home kit?

Nevermind, I figured out the poweroff switch and having to be more patient with the switches updating in homekit

You just need to set up and enable MQTT for realtime updates, then commands are pretty much instantaneous (depending on Pi load). See first post in the Homebridge-edomoticz Plugin thread... "Enabling MQTT For improved realtime updates" section.
