Is it possible to place somthing like:

http://<espeasyip>/control?cmd=PWM,13,500

in dzVents?

I want to send the value of a dummy slider(dimmer) in Domoticz to a ESP8266 with ESPEasy firmware to control a PWM output.

I can't find it in the Wiki or on the Forum.

Use domoticz.openURL(‘http://...’). It is in the doc in the wiki ;)

Thanks Danny,

As a test I used a switch command, but the idea is clear:

Yup.. that's it. But in this case I'd do it differently: in Domoticz edit the switch and enter these two http urls as the on and off actions. Then you can do just switchOn() and switchOff() in your code.

Of course, you’re right.

It was only for test purpose. I want to control a PWM output. The value for that will come out of a formula and then I want to sent it by an domoticz.openURL() function to my ESP8266.

Hi, I am really just curious as I am using dzVents and ESP Easy as well.
What exactly are you trying to do and for which purpose?
thx

Hello Lumjajo,

For now I’m only testing different situations.

Finally, I want to automate my whole house, that I’m building at this moment. That means, every room will get a tablet on the wall, instead of physical switches. The house will be warmed with floorheating (water). Every room will get an ESP 8266 or ESP 32 as temperature and humidity sensor and as light switches. On the floorheating divider every group will get an actuator so I can control the temperature for every room separate. I want to control the actuators with a relay board that is controlled by a ESP 8266.

For the ventilation of the different rooms I want to be able to control window openers and ventilators. For the windows I need to send position values and for the ventilators I need to send PWM values. The same for sun protection screens.

Garden watering is also on the wish list.

And so on, and so on.

For now I am testing on the top floor of the house, because that part is most finished. There I have, for the time being, electric heaters, a ESP8266 and Domoticz. I easily can control the temperature overthere, no matter where I am. That works super. So when I go home I adjust the proper temperature and when I arrive it’s comfortable.

I’m still building the house (by myself), and in the meantime I want to find out the proper domotica. My wish list is longer than I can pay, so therefore I’m playing with electronics, scripts and so on, instead of buying a complete system.

Enjoy, have fun!

You are lucky as you can do this from scratch.I built my house almost 20 years ogo, therefore I can only modify whats already in there, which is right now all blinds (luckily they are already electrical ones), garagedoors and lights of course. door opener will follow soon based on esp.
Good luck with your bulding.

What is the formula doing which you try to use in dZVents? For which purpose? Heating?

BTW the good thing with my house is, that when I built it, it was much cheaper than today. So I save a hell lot of money at that time.

@ DomoticaRob
Not water floor heating, but electric in my house.
