Hello,
I'd like to record in Domoticz the pulses issued from my energy meters.
I've got 4 (and more to come) energy meters in my setup, each sending 1 pulse for 1W consumed.
I have not definitely chosen the way these pulses will be pushed to Domoticz, but probably by using Arduino/ESP8266 with pulse detection code and JSON API for sensor update (or any better idea, as long as it is wireless or on LAN)
I'm first interested in tracking the power consumption by hour:minute of the day, and if possible, instant power consumption.
What is the best virtual sensor to record those pulses in Domoticz ?
Thank you !
How to record pulses from energy meters ?

Re: How to record pulses from energy meters ?
There are so many possibilities
I use MySensors. This allows for a wireless encrypted connnection. But you may also be able to rig something up directly to your Pi. Aliexpress has lots of nice little LDR sensor boards that to all the work for you.

For the MySensors option you'll also need two NRF24 modules, and an arduino nano. Total cost: less than 5 euro.

Thank you, but in the meantime, what virtual sensor best fits my use case : counting single pulses with minute (or even seconds) acuracy ?

Forgot about minute/second accuarcy with Domoticz.
Forgot about any accuracy with Domoticz in case energy consumption calculated by Domoticz.
It is well known bug.

There are specialized virtual sensors for this. Use those.
