Z-wave manual route for neo coolcam door sensor

Post by jurgen »

Hi All,

I have a question about z-wave routing and neo coolcam door sensor.

Does anyone know if the neo coolcam doorsensor supports a mesh network as client?
Does anyone know if it is possible to add a manual route for z-wave devices in domoticz?

Currently i have a Neo coolcam door sensor but the sensor communicate only directly through the controller and does not communicate to other devices in the z-wave network. When i'm out of range the door sensor does not find any other z-wave devices which weird because the other z-wave devices (qubino switch) is connected and i stand next to the other z-wave devices.

I tried the following to see it will use other z-wave devices:
Added through Domoticz
Added through the z-wave panel
Added through to aeon labs button on the USB stick
Tried to heal the network.

Thank you all!

I have brought the neo coolcam doorsensors back to the supplier and bought a fibaro door sensor.

The fibaro door sensor acts as a client and is using other devices as router just like i expected.

No neo coolcam for me again.

Can not agree with this - the Coolcam sensor s working as expected, I have several such sensors here.
It is working in the routed mesh network - far away from my controller.

If you "heal" the node will be deleted the route for the node and rebuilded.
You can check this in the OZW control panel (Node management -> control panel), here you can check the topology.

So there should not be any problems with this sensor.

I've 4 Coolcam door sensors.
3 are connected both to the controller and a nearest fibaro plug, 1 is connected only to the plug.
They seems to work well.
Ubuntu 20.04 on ACEPC AK1 (previously RPi3b+)
Z-Stick Gen5, RFXtrx433E, Philips HUE Bridge, Yeelight, ESP8266 NodeMCU, Broadlink RM
dZvents, bash, php, Node-RED

Hi all,

Yes i tried to heal the network but it does not make any sense.
I have a zipato and qubino devices in the network and they work well but the neo coolcam does not communicate through the other devices.

When i connected the fibaro everything is working directly.

Maybe it a compatibility issue between neo coolcam and qubino/zipato.

Thank you for reply.
