OpenEVSE Wifi Integration

Post by ismo67 »

I have bought Opel Ampera PlugIn Hybrid, so I would like to get all information from my charging station to Domoticz.
I can copy & paste code, flash a board if proper instructions, but those is my "only" programming skills :o

I have now finalized my build of OpenEVSE Kit Build 2 kit and also tested that their Wifi kit works with OpenEnergyMonitor.
I think OpenEVSE charging station build kits are very nice to build something by youself and also easy to repair if something some day happens.

They have now implemented support for OpenEnergyMonitor and the module is Adafruit HUZZAH ESP8266, what they use at their setup.
I have bought this module from them with their firmware flashed to it and the setup of the board was almost copy of EASYESP setup configuration.

I am wondering if someone managed to read data to Domoticz / Reflash the HUZZAH ESP8266 to modified firmware?
Any integration coming between OpenEVSE and Domoticz?

Now OpenEVSE has new firmware to the ESP8266 Huzzah board and I can not send RAPI messages though website.
I tried to send RAPI messages trough Events, but those does not end up to OpenEVSE wifi board.
Same line copied to web browser works perfectly, but not trough Domoticz Blocky events.

Any ideas how to communicate trough Domotocz with OpenEVSE board, I mean guide for dummies :)?

Have you been able to get this to work? I'm about to buy an EV and build my own openevse kit. Would be nice if I could do some load balancing from Domoticz (which is reading the total power usage via P1).

I've seen openevse has mqtt support, maybe this can be useful.

I'm plannig the idea of buying an openevse kit, but first an EV car...
