Ok never mind I could update my profile..

Now i got another problem. If i let Alexa routine set a switch, it will only set it to 93%. Is there a way to just set it ON or 100% ?

Hi.
Was wondering if it's possible to add timers to the skill so for instance you could say 'Alexa turn off the bedroom lights in 5 mins or turn on the heating at 8am' .

Would be a very useful feature if it's possible to implement?.

what's proper device type/subtype for a door lock? it's a Yale ZigBee doorlock (as dummy switch)

this is the only thing that isn't working for me..
I want to follow up on this as the door lock doesn't work for me either. I can say turn on or turn off, but Alexa sees it as a light switch, rather than a door lock
Hi skybehind -
can you PM me your email address, and i'll take a look at this

Hey - can you PM me your email address, and try this again? I'll take a look at the logs, and see what's being passed back.

Did you change, in switches, icon from "Light/Switch" (light bulb) to "Generic" (red button)?

Hi Madgeni, i'm a user of controlicz i'm very happy for this skill and they work like a charme but in the last periods i lost the functionality for the reading of the temperature, in my domoticz i have a tem+humidity sensor for external temperature (and this work ok) but my evohome thermostat zones that previously report correct temperature now doesn't work anymore and when i ask to alexa fot the temperature, alexa respond alwaysreading the temperature of the external temperature sensor.
can you help me ?
thanks

Hi Madgeni - another suggestion for you.. how about adding a log view feature to the controlicz web page so us folks can help ourselves when stuff doesn't quite work? maybe save you some time trawling logs for us..? OR you think you'll just get more questions about the log syntax ;) Obviously need to filter the log by user ID for data protection etc.

cheers

Madgeni wrote: Sunday 17 December 2017 17:02 Yep, pretty sure. What you've linked to is how to roll your own custom skill "Alexa ask the house what light is on" etc etc. All those intents need to be created and handled.
What you have with controlicz is a bona fide Alexa smart home skill, with direct interaction, however it depends on them adding functionality on their side.
The latest version provides status reporting ( everything reports it's state to controlicz), but won't be available to query until Alexa add the relevant request intents
Thanks for the heads up. Just wanted to point to something relevant, in case you missed it :)

Alexa has lots of potential but it is crippled! Another thing I have been wanting was timers with devices, not sure if that's supported either. It would be pretty cool to say "Switch off Living Room Lights After 30 Minutes"

How far we've come - six months ago, there was no easy voice control for Domoticz, now our list of demands becomes increasingly complex ;-)

This is an excellent feature request, and i've already raised it via the 'Feature Request' forum on the Alexa Dev site.

Hey,

I have a strange issue with my Controlicz setup:

I can ask Alexa for the temperature that my thermostat is set to and it responds with the correct value. However when I ask to set the temperature Alexa just says "I'm not quite sure what went wrong". It was working fine in the past and I can still set the thermostat temperature in Domoticz without any problems. I've tried forgetting and discovering the devices in Alexa but that hasn't made any difference.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Manuel

Hi,

I have been using Controlicz before with this same setup and it worked well when trying to discover my switches from domoticz.
Also re-discovery usually was not an issue!

Today I had to do a new discovery as I have added new switches but unfortunately Alexa cannot find anything anymore.

I have verified that my external connectivity does still work and is using https and the controlicz/domoticz user.
I have checked via the Controlicz website that it is able to reach my Domoticz host, which it does.

Any other idea on how to further troubleshoot this?

Can you disable and re-enable the Controlicz skill in your Alexa app please?

Hi, that actually did the trick, everything is back working again! Sometimes it can be just as easy as that....
Thanks you for the quick reply! Have a nice Christmas and I'll make a donation as well to keep up the good work!
