new zwave plus thermostat valves
Hi,
i see there are some new Zwave Plus thermostatic valves on the market.
Anyone has allready such valves?
My interest is going to:
Eurotronic Thermostaatkraan Spirit Eurotronic
https://www.robbshop.nl/thermostaatkraa ... eurotronic
and the fibaro one:
https://www.robbshop.nl/thermostaatkraa ... met-sensor
Anyone with experience?
Thanks

Re: new zwave plus thermostat valves
I'm watching the fibaro for weeks now, but there is no shop in Germany which is capable of delivery atm.
Also there is currently no configuration available at OpenZWave: https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave ... fig/fibaro
Maybe because the device was released just a few weeks ago and is not available everywhere at this time.
I will definitely buy at least 1 to test it out, the design is amazing (in comparison to this ugly Block valves...)

Re: new zwave plus thermostat valves
barbaar, i was at their site they have only 1 available now.
The price is a bit expensive, if you compare with the other zwave+ thermostat valves, but if its working good, then the price does not matter for me.
i'm waiting for some reviews of people :p

There'll be a new Danfoss as well, I've seen it somewhere (maybe here?). What's sure it's zwave+.ropske wrote: ↑Tuesday 07 November 2017 20:13 Hi,

You can make the xml following ozw's guide and the provided users manual.blacksn0w wrote: ↑Tuesday 07 November 2017 22:12 I'm watching the fibaro for weeks now, but there is no shop in Germany which is capable of delivery atm.

I do not understand the concept of this Association Groups, but when my valve arrives I will give it another try.

Re: new zwave plus thermostat valves
I have 2 Eurotronic SPIRIT thermostats since some weeks - without any problem.
BUT: its is not working with standard Domoticz-Version / OZW.
I have compiled a new version for this - but then will be "lost" the "central scene patch", if you will use standard build...
So best would be to force the Github entry for merge the code for the thermostat...

Re: new zwave plus thermostat valves
I did the same as Micha_pr. Merged the Spiritz code into a local copy of openzwave. It works quite well.
You can also run them normally with just the beta domoticz if you add in the XML for the device and update the manufacturer file, but you can't set the temp of course (Except from the valve itself which is a bit annoying).

How you mean you can't set the temp?
You mean i can not set the temperature in domoticz so the valve changes to this temp?
Because if this is true i need to cancel my order quickly

Re: new zwave plus thermostat valves
now i have these valves: POPP THERMOSTAATKRAAN POPP
https://www.robbshop.nl/radiator-thermostaat-popp
and with these i can set a thermostat setpoint in domoticz
I want to do the same with the Eurotronic valves, is it possible?

Re: new zwave plus thermostat valves
the new Danfoss Popp Radiator Thermostat are the same as LC13 but they now include a thermo sensor available in the zWave command
there is a new Danfoss intelligent valve whitch is NOT zWave!
I'm using LC13 with great satisfaction!

Re: new zwave plus thermostat valves
yeah, but i need to buy some more valves and there are now Zwave+ valves available, so i will order zwave+ valves
But i need to know if i can do the same as my older valves, so set a temperature from domoticz, i don't want to change the temperature by hand at the valve itself

Re: new zwave plus thermostat valves
These new Fibaro Heat Controllers look really great. They are expensive but if you look at the features and the design, it could be justified. Looks like they put a lot of thought into the design of the product.
I have ordered one to test. Should arrive next week and I will report back.

Re: new zwave plus thermostat valves
Problem is, if you compile with these changes only - the central scene support will be lost.
And, you can not update domoticz more, changes will be overwritten.
That's why I think it is not a good idea to make a "personal" patch.
If many users request it -maybe the Domoticz developers can make a merge into Domoticz software, same as for central scene, while it is not integrated in Open Zwave.
But ot sure - they notice about this problem or not
