Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
if you've been using Routines, they should work more cleanly, the app should now allow you to query your devices (temp is *still* hit and miss - too many types of temp/therm in Domoticz for me to cleanly set this up! - that's my excuse!)

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
thanks Hayman
Can people with thermostats let me know if/how it's working for you now? Not sure it's perfect yet, but hopefully it's getting better - I can now query my thermostat (but it's a Dummy one).

Mine is working as normal again;
"Alexa, what's the xxxxx temperature" and she will read out the temperature value.
Many thanks for your ongoing time and development

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Just about to embark on setting up Controlicz so what's the best way forward?
Never really played with floor plans so do I need a floorplan for each 'room'? and assuming I can use a blank jpeg for the picture?
So from a quick play floor plans consist of room plans so I guess the room plan name is what the devices are associated with?
So if I have a room plan called 'Lounge' and say Lounge, 'tall lights' off it'll go to the lounge room plan find the device called tall lights and turn them off?
Will it know it's lights from the type in Domoticz or do I need to call them lights?

Temps working fine for me too! Great work!
Setting the thermostat works too, although alexa says that the device is not responding, the setpoint is changing fine.

So you just need Room plans (at least one), you don't need floor plans. The reason Controlicz uses domoticz Room Plans is just to allow you to filter which devices Alexa sees (I copied this from the HA bridge at someone's request).
Controlicz should know lights are lights, so you should be good. To turn off lights by 'room' in Alexa, I think the best option is to set up Routines in the alexa app.
You can also control the name of the light in Alexa by adding - Controlicz: <nameyouwantalexatouse> in the Domoticz description field.

Temperature still isn't working for me. If I click on the icon in the alexa app it says it's a temperature sensor with temp and humidity but I don't get any reading in the app or when asking Alexa the bedroom temperature
I get the reply... Im not quite sure what went wrong
Is it because mine is temperature and humidity?. It worked in V2 though

urgh - will take a look, i've clearly missed something - temp sensors/thermostats are a nightmare, there's lots of different behaviours in Domoticz that I need to funnel into two types in Alexa. @Scoobydoo - can you PM me your email address, and i'll see what's wrong

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
right - any better now?
I'm struggling with some of the reporting of thermostats/temp sensors on the Alexa side - as well as discovering the correct types on the Domoticz side!
Temp sensors would logically only need the temperature it's reporting, however, if i do that, it hangs in the app...i've raised an issue, but i can get sensors working (reporting the temperature), but it also includes + - in the app, suggesting you can control it (when clearly you can't).

Madgeni
Just tested it 30-11-2017 17:47 CET and temp is now nicely reported by Alexa.
Q: "Alexa, what is the temperature in Office?" A: "The office temperature is twentytwo degrees"
Many thanks Madgeni. !
