Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi Nick!
I've just tested V.3 and it works brilliant! But now i can't set thermostat and ask Alexa, what's temperature in room. Alexa answered: "This device does not support that" or "That device is not responding".

Hey, glad it's working.
It's one of the main problems, Amazon haven't made a list of 'example' utterances for all the new controls. Some are listed in the documentation, but a lot aren't. I tried that out during testing. a lot of my tests involved swearing at alexa, they didn't work, but made me feel better
There's a bug in my 'set temp' call - looking at it now

Same problem here....sorry that probably doesn't help but i'm willing to test if the need be.
I use devolo/danfoss room sensors and previously I was able to query the temperature and adjust the setpoint ok.
Temp device is called the room name e.g Study and setpoint is called Study Thermostat.
So....Alexa, what is the temperature in the Study & Alexa, set the Study Thermostat to 20degrees....both worked fine before.
Can't seem to do either on v3 now tho although this isn't such a big deal for me as I only really use it to show off when people come to visit. Hehe.

I've also got the issue with temperatures. I just use a standard device that gives room temperature and humidity.
On V2 I could say 'Alexa what is the living room temperature' and the response would be 21 degrees.
Now I get .... That command doesnt work on device living room.
Hopefully you'll be able to fix it
Thanks for all the hard work.

so 'what's the living room set to?' *should* work.
Setting the temp seems hit and miss - works in app now, but will keep looking at this

Yeah that works but it doesnt seem quite right as she is reading out the current room temperature so it's not something that's set if that makes sense?
I can't get her to set a temp yet at all.
Thanks for your work on this. I'm sure you will get it working right.

Hi -
agree with that - i do think it's an issue with the Alexa API, and i've asked the question a few times - will keep pushing. Will fix the query tomorrow if it's still not working

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi Madgeni,
Thank you for the awesome work.
After hours of struggling with the installation and many search in this topic, i finally got it working. May be a step by step guide in the Controlicz webpage?
Alexa has discovered my devices succesfully. However Alexa included my devices in a uncorrect type device.
My thermostat is now recognize as a temperature sensor and I can not tell Alexa to set my thermostat to ... degree. She responsed with The devcie does not support that My temperature sensor is now recognize as thermostat and I can not ask Alexa regarding the temperature. Do you know how I can fix this?
Thanks

Hi, I have a question for clarification:
In Domoticz, I have a (virtual) switch of type light/switch, switch, blinds, which controls my blinds. In Domoticz, I have defined Action on On and Action on Off. "On" will bring the blinds down, "Off" will bring the blinds up. I am using German language.
When I tell Alexa "Alexa - Rollladen ein" (Rollladen is my Alex_Name for the Blinds), Alexa says "OK" and the blinds go down.
"Alexa - Rollladen aus" will result in another "OK" and the blinds go up. So far, so good.
Being a perfectionist , I would like to use "up" and "down" (German equivalents "hoch" / "runter") instead of "on" and "off".
If I do so: "Alexa - Rollladen hoch" Alexa acknowledges with "OK" but nothing happens, same with "Alexa - Rollladen runter".
What does Controlicz send to Domoticz, when I use "up" and "down" instead of "on" and "off" ? Is there a possibility to have something like a trace ?
You know, I for sure can live with "on" and "off", but "up" and "down" would be a tad nicer
Thank you very much for any comment/hint you may have.
Cheers
Josh
I had the same problem and a simple solution is to add routines in the Alexa App. I have one routine that is triggered by the phrase
"Rollo runter"
closing the blinds, and another one triggered by
"Rollo rauf"
Still struggling with temperature readings, though ... phrases like "Alexa, welchen Wert hat 'Temperatur Wohnzimmer'" do not work.

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi Chakkie - there is an FAQ on the Controlicz site, which i think is a pretty good start. There shouldn't be much to it, I wanted Controlicz to be easy to use, so sorry it's been a struggle.
Re: that device - can you PM me your email address, and the idx of that device?
HUGE apology. Temperature requests should now be fixed. If you re-run a discovery, they should respond to "what's the temperature in <devicename>?" now

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Thank you. Please do not apologize. You have done a great job to provide Domoticz users a great integration with Alexa.
I have just remove all the domoticz devices (Use 'Forget') and re run the discovery. Still the temperature sensor is recognized as a thermostat type.
I am not home so I can not test the request "what's the temperature in <devicename>?" but I think the problem is still exist. I will PM you the number of both devices
