Hi,
I have placed a Philips Hue motion sensor in my garage, and compared to my other hue motion sensors this one responds very slow. For example it can take up to 5+ seconds before it notices me and activates the light. Sometimes he does not activate at all.
Could it be that the distance is to great or that the signal is coming through badly? Is there any way to improve the signal strength?
Peter.

Do you have any Hue lights in your garage? If not I suggest to install one light there to see if the signal is being improved.
Blah blah blah

I was trying to use the Hue sensor to switch a Qubino Relay 1. Maybe thats not the best combination?

Re: Philips Hue sensor responds slow
It seems a motion sensor like Aeotec Multisensor 6 responds much moiire accurate to switch a qubino relay 1 then the hue sensor. However i think this is due to a configuration thing. In the Hue app you can set the timeout time only when you selected lights it should repond to. In this case i just added the sensor to the app(bridge) but added no lights to it. Now i cannot set any timeout, which is where i think the delay is coming from.
Does anyone have any experiance with this and/or knows how to bypass this? Maybe directly with an API call?

Yes, i had some issue with some motion sensors.rizzah wrote: ↑Thursday 30 November 2017 9:18 It seems a motion sensor like Aeotec Multisensor 6 responds much moiire accurate to switch a qubino relay 1 then the hue sensor. Generally, when it is not able to join the bridge, a red light flash in front of this. Have you ever seen a red light ?
In my case, the bridge were in an open box, but not enough open to communicate with all my motion sensors. So i have moved my bridge.
By the way, if there is not red light on the motion sensor in your garage when it detects something, you can verify if your motion sensors is reachable by the bridge by using the debug API (http://<ip_of_hue_bridge>/debug/clip.html)
All documentation is avaible on Philipps HUE API website.

Re: Philips Hue sensor responds slow
Hello All,
I might have the same issue, but... when i create a routine in the hue app, (turn on the lights when motion is detected) the lights respond immediately when motion is detected. When i use a blockly script the lights turn on after a few seconds, making sure I stumble over something in a dark hallway..
Is this a Blockly issue, can i change something in the domoticz set up? Or can it be something else?
Thanks for your answers!

@bernard038
On the hardware page you can lower the poll interval for the Hue bridge, the default setting is 10 seconds. I have a poll interval of 2 seconds.

@jofre,
Thanks! I'll try!
Edit after trying... for me lowering the polling interval helped! Thanks again @jofre!
