I believe that you have better odds to get ideAlarm working if you upgrade Domoticz using a Beta release.

Newer versions of ideAlarm is using features introduced (and bug corrections) in later versions of dzVents. Using older versions of ideAlarm might work better together with older versions of dzVents but doing that is nothing that I recommend.

I'm using Domoticz Beta version 3.8552 and I am not aware of a single bug in it. Saying that, I should probably emphasize that's the case on my system of course, your system might be different.

For the future though I believe it's better if ideAlarm would have no further requirements than the latest stable versions.

I am always a little scared to try Beta releases because I use Domoticz already frequently for many things. And yes, would be nice if it will work on the latest stable versions in the future.

Just installed it in the stable version with dzvents 2.2.0. But i have errors in the log:

Code: Select all

2017-11-04 21:44:00.533 Error: dzVents: Error: Script ideAlarmConfig.lua has no "on" and/or "execute" section. Skipping
2017-11-04 21:44:00.533 Error: dzVents: Error: Script ideAlarmHelpers.lua has no "on" and/or "execute" section. Skipping
2017-11-04 21:44:00.536 Error: dzVents: Error: Script ideAlarmModule.lua has no "on" and/or "execute" section. Skipping
Can't find info about this error. Or is it just a warning, and if so, how can I disable this warning?

Too bad that for Synology users there is only stable now, but somehow we will get around this

It can take a long time between stable releases... Have you ever considered buying a Raspberry Pi? It won't be so expensive and it will be much better performance. Just a thought.

Oke, just updated to the latest Beta 3.8702....and notice that it still has dzVents 2.2.0. Great!

Do you have a downloaded version 3.8552 for me?
No other way to update dzVents or get's a working ideAlarm version for dzVents 2.2.0??

Sounds strange to me. Did you clear the browsers cache after upgrading Domoticz?

Hi,

That did the trick!

Got a message after updating from domoticz that it was clearing browser cache. Also have a "Cleare Cache" extension in Chrome which I run.
So i assumed that the cache was cleared.

Now I cleared the cache with Ctrl+h and Bingo, got a whole new view and dzVents 2.3.0.

Thanks for pointing me to this!

Great script works like a charm. Only thing I miss is language support for the text devices. Notifications I can change myself in the helpers file.
Thank you for your great work!

I've played a while with ideAlarm... I have 1 question before continuing and purchase a siren :D :D
...if an area in not directly linked to the security status.... How could I intercept its state to engage/disengage by script?

I'm actually using the text device string, but I got some issue in detecting it correctly (I think my script runs twice so it disengage and reengage...)
ciao
M

P.S.
...I LOVE ideAlarm :D :D

Thanks.

I've tried hard but I can't understand your question.

Do you want to have a a script to turn of the siren when an alert occurs for an alarm zone?

If so, in ideAlarmCustom.lua

Code: Select all

alarm.zones('Your Zone').disArmZone(domoticz)
or in any dzVents script, you can just switch toggle the arming mode (that will turn off the sirens)

Code: Select all

domoticz.devices('Toggle Z1 Arm Home').switchOn()
If I understood wrong, please try again.

Cheers!

mmh.. looks like ideAlarm experience some issues with dzVents 2.4.1

Code: Select all

2018-01-25 14:16:00.277 dzVents: Error (2.4.1): ideAlarm V2.1.0: An error occured when calling event handler ideAlarm
2018-01-25 14:16:00.277 dzVents: Error (2.4.1): ideAlarm V2.1.0: /home/pi/domoticz/scripts/dzVents/scripts/ideAlarm.lua:32: attempt to concatenate field 'state' (a nil value)
I had to include the line into a if statement:

Code: Select all

if not device.isTimer then
   ...
end

Yes, that the only breaking change for 2.3 > 2.4. Sometimes you have to break something to make things better ;-)

ideAlarm Version 2.4.0

Various changes made to support dzVents 2.4.0. ideAlarm 2.4.0 now requires Domoticz v3.8837+

This script will be retired. I'm migrating away from Domoticz to another automation
solution. It requires some effort to maintain it and I won't have the time to do it in the future.

If you'd like to become the maintainer of this script, please let me know. (Make an issue on github, then I'll be notified)

Cheers!
