RFLink Transmitter Connection

Post by Docdev »

Hi, I am new to Domoticz and very impressed. I just bought the components for RFLink but confused with the 3v connection to the MEGA from the STX882 transmitter. The RFLink website states Pin 3 (VCC) = MEGA rx3/Pin 15 (TX VCC) (~2.0 - 3.6 volts !!). Should I connect it to Mega Pin 15 or use a seperate 5v to 3v regulator and common ground? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Either connect it to the 3 volt pin or use a regulator.. or get the RXB6 receiver module

Hi, One last question if I may. On the website the SRX882 receiver wiring details state Pin 5 (DATA)= MEGA rx1/Pin 19 (RX Data). On my MEGA2560, RX1 is actually pin 18! Could someone possibly confirm if this is a typo error on the website please as Pin 19 on my MEGA 2560 is labeled TX1?
Thanks again for any support.

Just done some checking and on the original Arduino MEGA 2560 the connections are correct (Pin 19 is RX1) however on my MEGA 2560 clone Pin 19 is labeled TX1. Just in case anyone else uses a MEGA clone from Chine RX1 and TX1 are labeled oposite so use the Audrino and RXLink wiring and it will all work correctly. This link confirms my findings https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=367398.0 hope this helps
