Sometimes we want to install a home automation system in a place where there is no internet: second home, boat, camper, garage, warehouse, etc ... but the very thing of a home automation system is to communicate with the outside world, right?
So I propose you a solution based on a Raspberry3, Domoticz naturally and a simple Android phone even old that will serve as a communication gateway and a simple 2G package (no data) you will find from 2 € per month.
After installing the OS and Domoticz on the Raspberry3 it will just have to convert it into an access point with "hostapd" in 3 command lines and a fast configuration. This access point will allow you to communicate with your old Android mobile which will serve as a communication gateway on which you must install CirusSMS which is an Android application available on Google Play.
Finally on your mobiles, those you use on a daily basis, you will need to install a very simple interface that will allow you to control your home automation system (CirusDomoticz).
