Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi Madgeni,
Is it possible to setup with no port requirement?
I've got my server running with name mapping (I can't remember the actual term!) rather than ports e.g:
https://www.example.com/domoticz/

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
There's always one! The port is a required field. Let me have a think, see what we can do..

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
If no port is given it should be 443 ? so if you do not fill out the port on the webpage , then assume 443.
Other ports being used can not be guessed.

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi, I have a Synology NAS DS216+ II and installed the 'easy' Domoticz app. Everything runs great. Recently I bought a Amazon Echo Dot and activated Controlicz on it. Unfortunately I don't see any devices. I created rooms but that didn't help. After reading the FAQ I found out that Domoticz need to run on HTTPS and that's where I got lost. I understand that I have to install something 'easy' on my Synology but I have no idea how to do so!? I'm a dummy when it comes to codes. Does anyone have an idea how I can deal with this HTTPS 'problem'?

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi, I'm not sure if any specific config needed on a Synology, however, SSL is on by default now with Domoticz. Can you access your Domoticz internally using HTTPS? If so, it's just port forwarding that's needed

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Thanks for you quick reply! No, unfortunately I internally can't connect to Domoticz via HTTPS. On my Synology I checked the box that says 'redirect all http connections to https', but still nog connection is possible. I'm sure the solution is very simple but I can't find it.

Stuck on a plane on the tarmac in London, so I'm looking for something to occupy me looks like the default ssl
Port for Synology is 8443, did you specify that?

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
8443 that did the trick, thanks! Am I correct that now just port forwarding is neceserry so Controlicz can connect to Domoticz?

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
That should do it, and update the port in your Controlicz profile

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Ok I now configured the port forwarding but I'm not able to connect to Domoticz. I already did a online port check and it says the port is open. When I forward to port 8084 (http) it works fine but when forward to 8443 (https) there is no connection. I think I miss something...

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
I am running the on Synology DS216play (which is almost identical as your version), and setup port forwarding to 8443 succesfully. Controlicz is working fine for me now with the great support of Madgeni.
When you can internally access your domoticz instance on port 8443 it is almost certainly not Synology related. Please double check your port forwarding settings in your router and try to access from a device outside of your LAN.

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
I found the solution... just did a restart of my Synology and everything is working fine now!
Thank you al for helping me. At the moment I'm not able to test Alexa but tonight I will. Hopefully everything will be fine

you should be able to discover the devices via the APP remotely
