Aeotec Wallmote
Hello,
Noticed these are now available in Aus;
http://www.smarthome.com.au/aeotec-wallmote-quad.html
Are these supported natively within Domoticz? Anyone using one (in or outside of Aus) and thoughts?
thanks

Re: Aeotec Wallmote
Hi rjay,
not yet, this wallmote makes use of CentralScene functionality which is not implemented in OpenZwave.
They are currently building support for it so I expect it to be released soon.

Re: Aeotec Wallmote
thanks for the prompt response! Ok no problems I will keep an eye out, probably a month or two before I can afford to lash out on a couple of them anyways. They look super useful a few different scenarios though, looking forward to it!
thanks
thanks

Re: Aeotec Wallmote
Thanks @Thorian, sounds like it is working for some crew? We just have to wait then for the latest Open Z-Wave to be incorporated into Domoticz?

Re: Aeotec Wallmote
Yes, that is it. I'm waiting too ^^
Re: Aeotec Wallmote
ok no problems, do we know how often that happens (the integration of the latest versions of Open Z-Wave) into Domoticz?
Re: Aeotec Wallmote
I have the Wallmote but it looks like it is still not supported. Am I correct? Anyone have experience?
Re: Aeotec Wallmote
Interesting, I had held off buying them purely as I was waiting to see them fully supported. Almost pulled the trigger this month as I thought they were all go now

Re: Aeotec Wallmote
Current BETA domoticz with 1.4-2501-g5af6780-dirty SUPPORTS WallMote:
#1 Upgrade (I'm using a dev platform for that on Orange Pi Zero with stable Armbian (Ubuntu based)
#2 Remove WallMote
#3 Include WallMote again (I'm using secure mode)
#4 Go to scenes add and click the button it will be added as activator.
I managed to get four buttons so far (as ON) - don't know yet how to add them as OFF...

Re: Aeotec Wallmote
This is some good news! Let us know if you get the off working as well. Some screenshots would be great as well.
What is the quality/feel of the Wallmote like? can you feel the button presses in each quadrant (like a micro switch) or is it purley just touch/tap ?

Re: Aeotec Wallmote
Gentle touch - just like smartphone. I'm setting it up as Toggle switch for various appliances for the first test and try to find out what is the way to get 8 buttons in total...

Re: Aeotec Wallmote
BTW: Seems it's only four toggles and dimmers: https://aeotec.freshdesk.com/support/so ... ser-guide-
Re: Aeotec Wallmote
Sweet! yeh I figured it was only four buttons. Yeh I am look for it for the same toggles and dimmers. Way to switch lights, appliances on etc. Guessing dimmer works by using a "long touch" on one of the quadrants?

Re: Aeotec Wallmote
Yes, dimmer supposed to be a 'smear' on the button as the manual above states. I haven't got any dimmers, so I've setup four scenes created virtual switches with JSON toggle for the real buttons/devices.
So far - works as charm!

Awesome! now I know these are a goer looks like they will be my next purchase!
Re: Aeotec Wallmote
Thanks for the info. I don't like messing with beta's, but it looks they are working on it. I will be patiently waiting for the next release.
Re: Aeotec Wallmote
@soetew a thread you might find interesting is the one over at
viewtopic.php?f=31&t=12539
the Remotec Scene Master device is pretty similar in operation/functionality to the Wallmote it seems.
