Hopefully, my 5 stars compensated a bit. It truly was a 5 star experience: registered on controlicz, added the skill, disabled my old skill, rediscovered devices and was back up and running in a jiffy.

Hey Madgeni, seems to be a very great work you did there! Thank you for that! Could you tell me if or when you release the skill for germany? Kind regards.

I'm not sure if this is really the best place to ask for support, but I'm having trouble linking my Echo to my Controlicz account. I set up my Controlicz account just fine, but when I try to enable the skill, and link my account, it won't accept the credentials I use to sign in to the Controlicz site. I get the HTTP Basic Auth prompt, and copy and paste my e-mail address and password, but it fails. Thanks.

Hi - you'll need to switch to HTTPS on your Domoticz.
However, just noticed DNS is screwed, which is nice, not sure how I managed to do that from Paris, without a laptop. Will fix asap tomorrow am.

I'm using HTTPS on it. It's frontended with an Apache server. Does it matter that I have HTTP Auth in front of it?

hmm, well i don't mind, as long as the connection to domoticz is https. I'll trawl through the logs in the morning and we'll fix it :)
DNS now ok - think it could be an intermittent issue between godaddy and route53

quick one for the users - if you don't have it working, can you check if you've put 'https://' before your hostname on Controlicz? If so, can you remove it? New users will be asked nicely to remove it :)

I'm not on FB, but thank you for the post on there highlighting my Alexa skill. If anyone on there has a problem, could you direct them here?

Thanks!

I don't know what's wrong, but alexa keep saying "[device name] doesn't support that". i was trying to get temp (from a sensor) and locking the door. both yield same result.

are you invoking get temp as "Alexa whats the temperature of device name?" - that should be ok. Let me know roughly when you did it, and i'll take a look through the logs. Locks might well still be buggy - will take a look tonight :)

Excellent skill. Works perfectly. Took some getting head around SSL and setting up users but once I'd figured it out then the skill found my devices and controls them without issue.
I was running a ha bridge before this but this is now redundant and the skill is far far better.
Thanks for the hard work.

Absolutely agree. Was using HA-Bridge until discovering Madgeni's work just a couple of days ago. Worked on first attempt! EXCELLENT WORK!!
