Alert tab

Post by harrykausl »

I'm using several window sensors, a garage senosor and so on. When leaving my house, I set security to on. When doing this, I check via script, if every window is closed. If one ore more is open, I get a notification. Then I have to look, which one is open. It would be very nice, if I could show the open window devices in a special tab. So if one window is opended, the device is placed in this tab, if it is closed, it will be removed from the tab. All would happen via script. The advantage would be, that I could see all problem devices in one view. I thought about defining a room unsecure, but I think it is not possible, to change the room information of a device via script. Has anybody a idea how to handle this. Thanks.

Why don't you put the name of the sensors which are open in the notification?
I use that as well and is much easier than the tab solution.
Not using Domoticz anymore

I'm already doing this. But if I have a tab, I could see status also without starting security. It should be something like a variable dashboard where the content can be set by script.

I use a room plan for this. It has all contacts on it and I can see immediately which door or window is open or closed.
