Orcon Mechanical Ventilator MVS15 - 868 MHz
Does anyone have some experience connecting a Orcon Mechanical Ventilator MVS15 to Domoticz?

With Rf or wired?

I prefer RF but wired is an option if it can be combined with existing RF

Orcon is close to the Itho implementation and at some point in time it might be possible to control the device via RF.
Until then you could use for example RFLink and its GPIO pins hardwired to the Orcon remote.. that way RFlink is pressing the buttons for you and you can control the system via Domoticz.

@pvangorp
I have the same Orcon at home, and I have made some progress to make an hardwired connection.
So far I did the following;
1. Purchased: additional remote control, flexible flat cable plus PCB, PiFace 2
2. Programmed a couple of thinks in Python, and I control the Orcon via the command line
There are few problems that need to be solved;
1. There is still some current leakage, as the used out connections on the PiFace 2 are constantly on, but at a very low level. This drains the battery.
2. On the Python side more work is to be done; as the outputs on the Piface 2 should send out a 1 sec pulse and go back to the off state
Maybe you, or someone on the board has an idea how to solve the first issue.

Thans for your sollution. Should be easier with RFLINK 868.
For your python:
import time
abort_after = 1
start = time.time()
while True:
delta = time.time() - start
if delta >= abort_after:
break

Thanks for the Python code. Will give it a try.
I also prefer to do this via rf 868, but as mentioned by Stuntteam this can take a long time.

Re: Orcon Mechanical Ventilator MVS15 - 868 MHz
I'm no pro in reversed engineering. But there is an (I think) debug/program interface on the pcb that maybe can use to readout some data.
Is there already somebody that has try this way?

It's a old toppic but i'll give it a shot
Can you provide a scheme hoe to wire what to what. and how you get it work? I have a extra rf remote what do I need more?

Re: Orcon Mechanical Ventilator MVS15 - 868 MHz
I'd like to know more about automating the Orcon MVS15. Can solder wires to an extra remote, but need some guidelines what to do next. Does it need resistors, to which gpio pins, sample python code?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Orcon Mechanical Ventilator MVS15 - 868 MHz
I have the same machine and want to add it to my home automation.
I hope someone can share some more documentation about how he implemented it.
I search for a solution but I can't find any good example.

I too have that machine.
so i'm pinging this thread in the hopes of someone sharing a working solution....
i could go wired quite easily from the perilex switch wires and a relais setup or something like that... but i prefer an rf solution.
thanks for any reply!

Re: Orcon Mechanical Ventilator MVS15 - 868 MHz
I have seen this request in other forums, but no ready to use solutions for us mere mortals until I found a nice solution at tweakers (Dutch language): https://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/li ... /1806429/2
One of the users there has created a ready to use pcb that just needs clicking in and you're off, sold on tindie: https://www.tindie.com/products/hjhicki ... on-mvs-15/
I just ordered mine, so not sure how click-and-play it is, because the software/config has been created for homeassistant, but in theory it should work just fine using the MQTT autodiscovery interface. I'm betting on that.

Just thought I'd post it here, FYI.

Re: Orcon Mechanical Ventilator MVS15 - 868 MHz
I think the "FAN2" type of rfx868 is not recognized by Domoticz for the moment.
In the log there is a mentioning of
With RFXmanager I get;
This is First Button 'Away', Then 2 times Button 'AUTO', Button 'Timer', Button '1', Button '2', Button '3'
Kind regards

Re: Orcon Mechanical Ventilator MVS15 - 868 MHz
Also tried with RFXtrx. Received "Invalid data received!....".
But even after I changed the source code and commented out check for type pTypeFan, Domoticz detected new buttons per every Orcon button (if you press it). But they were not functional at all. While looking into Domoticz source code for Orcon support, it looks like the imlementation is not finished.
