Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
can you compile directly on your Synology?
Question about the Xiaomi Gateway in Domoticz? Please check the Wiki first: https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Xiaomi_Gateway_(Aqara)

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
Hi Corbin, I have send you a PMcorbin wrote:I think the current problems can be summed up as:
Please feel free to expand the above list or ask questions.
- 1. Cannot enable developer mode (this problem is external to Domoticz). - > I don't have a solution but hope other uses can help with this.
2. Cannot detect any devices in Domoticz -> This can occur regardless of what you enter in the Domoticz hardware settings. I would suspect firewall/router or local hardware settings to be the cause.
3. Devices detect, but do not update state in Domoticz -> this could also be due to firewall/router restrictions, but we have found that some systems need the local Domoticz IP address to be used when binding to the socket. But this still fails on some systems.
4. Cannot control devices (password error) -> This could be related to devices not updated as in point 3, but could also be simply mistyping the password into Domoticz.
I am willing to help troubleshoot if you can provide a Domoticz install I can remote into (PM me the details)
Answers to your list:
1- I could enter developper mode via the app
2. I can detect other devices in Domoticz, however no devices connecte over the Xiaomi Gateway
3. Could be, but I don't know how to bind the socket (missing knowledge )
4. mistyping the password, I'm sure that can't be the case. Typed it in in a txt file, controlled and double check against the app. Than with copy - paste it into domoticz.
I hope this helps you a bit to see what could have gone wrong and where.
Again thanks for all your help!!
Best regards Bert

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
I have never done that. It should be possible since I installed a bootstrap installer. But I don't have the knowledge what and how to do that.corbin wrote:can you compile directly on your Synology?
Is it better to get this problem solved? How should I do it? In case it is really necessary I useually asked Jumbotroll for a favor to recompile for my synology
Best regards Bert

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
Just test on my ds216play (v3.6883 is the lastest aviable for me) and i can't add xiaomi gateway i have to investigate with jumbotroll about thisbertbigb wrote:Hi deennoo, deennoo wrote: Which os did you use on domoticz ? Linux Windows
On Windows have you unlock 9898 firewall ?
Have set your dev password ?
My domoticz is running on a Synology DS1515+ - version Domoticz is latest beta available ( V3.6886, build time 2017-03-08 19:38:55)
I also have set my dev. password. Found it in the tab (with the lot of tapping )
I also reset my password already a few times (by changing it in the app, note it down and re-use it in Domoticz)
My firewall is not blocking 9898. But this brings up another question, do I have to open port 9898 on my router and connect it to the IP of the Xiaomi gateway? --> Because that I didn't.
By the way - the Xiaomi is working very well from my iphone (in and outside my local network) and on the app I also see all devices connected to the gateway. So I expect there is something between the Gateway and Domoticz what is not going smooth.
Domoticz stable 3.5877 for real & Domoticz beta for test

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
Yesterday received my Xiaomi Gateway. As far as I can see it's a V3.
I have installed the app on iOS and Android, but can not find the password to enter him in Domoticz.
Here I do not know what to do. Does anyone advice?

Thank, I solve de problem. You're doing a great job. Thank you very muchcorbin wrote:I fired up a test system under vmware in hopes of duplicating your problem, but it worked for me with those settings. If you don't mind modifying the source code, you could try manually adding in your local IP address to XiaomiGateway.cpp, line 573:
EDIT - Try with VIMAGE enabled, that is what worked for me.Code: Select all
m_LocalIp = "192.168.0.x";

I do that from the app? I might need an older version of the app?

Is there any real chance, that support of wi-fi socket will be added? Developer mode for xiaomi wi-fi socket. For ir remote it would be great too.deennoo wrote:https://github.com/louisZL/lumi-gateway ... pi?files=1
