Stability issue on Synology NAS DS212j
Hello,
i have been using domoticz on my synology NAS DS212j on DSM6 for some time now, but i am struggling with stability issues.
resulting in lights not being switched of. only using it for that at the moment by using TBK plug-in socket
I was running version 5877, but do to the issues i reverted back to 4834, but the same issues occur.
Using with the Zwave USB Stick
I find that the switch command is not working anymore.
This is also the case when i login to Domoticz (the package is working) and try to switch manually.
When i restart the NAS it is working again for a day or so and than the issue return.
I extended the USB cable and place the stick 2 meters from the NAS but it did not help.
anybody any ideas, on how to solve this?

What is in the logfile?
How does your mesh network looks like?

I did a restart this morning , and when searching for log options, i accidentally pressed clear
i cannot see previous logs, can i find them somewhere?

What can be the conclusion on this mesh diagram?

If you cleared it, it's gone.
Mesh looks good, both nodes have direct connection with controller.
I did read here somewhere that the TBK aren't that reliable...

Re: Stability issue on Synology NAS DS212j
i think the issue is more package/DS related.
It refused to switch my lights on again.
The package page is not opening.
The DSM management console is opening.
I stopped and updated the packed as suggested to 5877-7 and i am able to switch light again.
In the log in domoticz itself , nothing to see anymore,.
Is there any other log that where i can see packet behaviour? It seems related to downloading of files via Downloadstation or Getnzb . but that's just a big guess

You have one of the lightest Syno's with almost no ram memory etc.
I even had a DS413j and replaced because it was nothing more than a network drive.
I would suggest a RPi or a better Syno.
You could verify that by disabling as much packages as you can and only keep domoticz running.

i had my suspicions in that direction as well.
after some consideration , i just ordered a RPi, hope that solves the issues, because the unreliablitiy keeps me from adding other hardware

Well, a Pi 3 has 4 times the memory and 4 times the cpu power than a ds212j AND domoticz will be the only thing that it needs to do. Will absolutely be better.
