Nest Thermostat - New API

Post by simon_rb »

Hi All,

New Nest API coming out/is out which enables more information to be collected from the Thermostat. One of them is you can now grab the data that says how long it will be till your house is warmed up, that could be handy within Domoticz for timer purposes. Also you can get data about direct sunlight so if you Thermostat is near a window and it detects sunlight on it domoticz would know and be able to close your blind/curtain.

Any ideas if these could be implemented into the current Nest within Domoticz?, which works fantastic by the way - especially with Homebridge :)

Cheers

I would be interested in this kind of lower level integration as well. The various sensors from Nest are interesting to read into domoticz (motion for example)
Synology DS213, RFXtrx433E, COCO, HomeEasy, Promax, Denon, Philips TV, Logitech Harmony, Nest, Smart meters.
