Setting up RFLink - Please help!

Post by Froobage »

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone could possibly help me out, I'm a complete novice.

Hardware
I'm using an arduino mega 2560 (Bus 001 Device 004: ID 2341:0042 Arduino SA Mega 2560 R3 (CDC ACM)) and some cheap Chinese Rx Tx 433mhz FS10000A.

Connections:
Reciever - Arduino
Data > RX1 (Digital 19)
GND > GND
VCC > TX2 (Digital 16)

Transmitter - Arduino (Transmitter pins are 4321 looking top down)
Pin 1 (GND) > GND
Pin 2 () > RX3 (Digital 15)
Pin 3 () > TX3 (Digital 14)
Pin 4 (ANT?) > Not connected

Firmware is RLink Firmware Version: 1.1 Revision: 43
20;00;Nodo RadioFrequencyLink - RFLink Gateway V1.1 - R43;
10;version;
20;01;VER=1.1;REV=43;BUILD=0a;
10;rfdebug=on;
20;02;RFDEBUG=ON;

Domoticz is up to date running on raspberry pi 2

initially it was showing up as ttyACM0 but I set it as a persistent device, I've added it as hardware:
6 Gateway Yes RFLink Gateway USB

but there is no button next to it saying setup devices, I've tried clearing the cache, checked for latest updates but still no progression. Have I done something wrong here like put the connections on the hardware incorrectly?

Any support greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Froob

Try a different browser..
also note that the FS1000A is not a very good receiver module.
It is fine for an initial test drive but you should replace it for something better like a RXB6, Syn or Aurel.

Hi Stuntteam,

I've tried both internet explorer and chrome but neither of them are showing the button.
Thanks

Thanks deennoo, I've upgraded to the beta and I now see the add manual devices, but now I've encountered another issue, when I press learn devices, it doesn't pick anything up i.e. Home Easy light switch/wall plug sockets/motion sensor. Is there a command that can be done on rflink loader tool to prove the transmitter and receiver have been terminated to the correct pins on the arduino?

Thanks!

Your rx parts is crap, you must/need to change it first for one of the mentionned by Stuntteam

You should not use "learn devices"
Most devices are picked up automatically and placed in your device list.
unless you have disabled that under settings.

Hi All,

Thanks for the replies, i've purchased the RFlink 433 kit from Nodo and set it up today, but i'm having issues connecting my devices.. I have a few HE107's and HE109's and HE851's from the Home easy range, as well as some Silvercrest on/off sockets but the only thing the gateway seems to pickup is the HE851 PIR. Am I doing something wrong in order to pair the other devices?

Thanks,
Froob
