did anyone try to connect an RF based controller to domoticz en directly interface with the EVO home components.
i see that zones far from my controller have communication issues and in some incidents do not turn on or off
that gives me 2 options
1) adding and external antenna to the controller (possible but not looking very nice)
2) using a 2nd RF gateway to broadcast commands
i found that the protocol used is RAMSES II
https://github.com/Evsdd/The-Evohome-Protocol
there is also a emulator for the controller in python
https://github.com/zxdavb/evohome_rf
this works with an arduino and a 868 RF unit and seems to be driven from the home assistant forum
https://github.com/zxdavb/evohome_cc
i ordered an RFLink 868 and hope to get the correct data structure out so i can decode the messages using the evohome_rf python tool

Better late than never...
Did you managed to make any progress on this? Maybe the evofw3 is interesting for you?

Re: EVO home RF client
no , did not look anymore into this
but since my old domoticz is not communicating anymore with the evo home server and in the new release i cannot set the setpoint with a script due to an issue with the JSON API, i might pick this up again

Re: EVO home RF client
Hi,
Although a very late reply from me, I'm still successfully using Domoticz to communicate with my Evohome system via a RF device. I'm using the Honeywell HGI80 device connected to my RPi, but have previously messed with different Arduino devices. I'm not aware of any released code to perform the 2nd RF Gateway functionality that you described. I did mess around with modifying the evofw firmware to perform a standalone repeater function and got a prototype working, but never got as far as a release. The message timing is important as the Evohome battery powered devices have sleep cycles and messages need to be rapidly repeated to be successfully received.
I was able to resolve some message loss issues by re-siting my controller and moving objects that were interfering with communication with some distant devices e.g. the signal from a HR92 kept being blocked by a large storage bag if it was sat next to the radiator.
