Machinon 2.10 is out: light and dark mode
The big one in this release: every colour scheme is now one theme with a light and a dark version, and you choose how it shows.
Light, Dark or Follow device
In the theme settings, Colors and schemes tab, each theme (Machinon, Magenta, Paper, Gruvbox, and the ones you made with the wizard) is now a single card. Pick the theme, then pick Light, Dark or Follow device. Follow device switches along with your phone or computer's own light/dark setting, on each device separately, so the wall tablet can stay light while your phone goes dark at night.
A sun/moon switch
There is a small sun/moon switch in the header (in the menu on a phone). It flips only the screen you are looking at between the light and dark version, without changing your settings or anyone else's screen. Don't want it? Turn it off with Light/dark toggle on the same tab.
Your colours stay as they were
After updating nothing changes: if you used a dark scheme, the mode is set to Dark, and the same for light. New installations start in Follow device. Dark schemes also no longer flash white while a page loads (from the second visit in each browser).
Energy page
The Energy page is now readable in the light schemes: the icons in the bubbles are no longer white on white, the rings and lines each have their own visible colour, and prices are no longer faded. On a phone held upright the diagram is shown large enough to read; swipe sideways to see all of it.
Also fixed
- On Domoticz 2026.1, the sensor timeout and low battery warnings and the RGBW colour popup are back on after updating Machinon.
- On the phone dashboard with Domoticz 2026.4 or newer, a switch that is off lights up its Off button again.
- On phones, the icons-only menu opens wider so its icons have room.
- 2.10.1: when several people log in on the same browser, each now keeps their own colours and settings.

Updating: if you installed from the dist branch, run git pull inside the machinon folder and hard-refresh your browser (Ctrl+Shift+R). Otherwise download the zip from the release page.
As always, let me know here or on GitHub if something looks off, and I'm curious which mode you end up using.
