World Earthquakes Plugin for Domoticz v0.1.2

I am happy to release v0.1.2 of the World Earthquakes plugin for Domoticz! This release brings a robust, self-contained architecture optimized for seamless integration with Domoticz's Python plugin engine. The Python rewrite intends to replace the same function I used to use for long time via

Code: Select all

dzVents
.

🚀 Features & Highlights
  • Seismic Portal Integration: Automatically fetches global seismic activity from the Seismic Portal API.
  • Haversine Distance Mapping: Accurately calculates the exact distance from your configured latitude/longitude to any earthquake epicenter.
  • Dynamic Felt-Distance Filtering: Automatically categorizes seismic events as felt or unnoticed based on scaled magnitude thresholds.
  • Native Alert Sensor: Provisions and updates a native Domoticz Alert Sensor complete with HTML color coding, timestamps, depth, magnitude, and direct links to Google Maps and Seismic Portal details.
  • Smart Notifications: Sends alerts through Domoticz's internal notification framework when significant or felt seismic activity occurs.
📦 Installation & Upgrade
