I am a little bit lost, as the words "Wallbox" and "EV Charger" are very generic. Do I interpret it correctly, that this plugin is related only to devices of a certain company?

If you go to the github repository https://github.com/lokonli/domoticz-wallbox you see that you have to register on my.wallbox.com
So no reason to be confused
