I have domoticz 2024-3, zwave-js and Smartthings (via NodeRed) running on a raspberrypi Mod 3b.
I wanted to switch to a raspberry Mod 4 to speed up things so i made an image of the SD-card and put it in the Mod 4.
I took care that de Mod 4 used the same ip-adress as the old model Mod3b.
In my opnion nothing changed in the software config. Only the hardware changed.
Domoticz started as usual, all sensors worked, Smartthing switches worked but the zwave switches did not. The zwave js portal on port 8091 refused to open.
what am i missing?
and how to solve it?
thanks
Paul

Re: zwave controller stick not found
Hi,
I did some digging and found out that the zwave controller stick in de Pimod3 mounted on "dev/serial/by-id" was not mounted/found on the Pi mod4 and that is ofcourse the problem I cannot open the portal and the zwave sensors are dead.
does anyone have an idea why the controllerstick is not found (none of the 4 usb ports) on the Pi mod4?
thanks

Re: zwave controller stick not found
There are some known issues with some zwave usb sticks on rpi mod4.
Maybe you have one of these problematic zwave adaptors?
e.g.
https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopi ... 1#p1502030
The solution is to use a powered usb hub in between.

Yes or to buy a more recent Aeotec stick
Re: zwave controller stick not found
Hi Claude2666,
Thanks for the information shared.
It took some time to find an old usb2 hub. Found one and yes the workaround worked. That is much cheaper than a new aeontec stick gen5+
For you and the rest of the readers I want to share some information:
On an other location I have also a Pi mod4 with an aeontec stick gen5. It works well! So what is the difference:
Pi mod4 rev 1.1 works with the aeontec stick gen5
Pi mod4 rev 1.5 is NOT working with the aeontec stick gen5. So this model needs the workaround or a gen5+ stick.
Regards
Paul
