Multiple RFlinks

Post by mistysnip »

Hi,

I have a linux laptop in the basement running Domoticz with an RFlink connected to it. On the first floor, the signal is weak and I would like to add a new RFlink on that floor. Can I do this? I already have a Pi on this floor to which I could connect the second RFLink, but then how do I select the second RFlink in the linux Domoticz?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

2 ways

1st -on your 1st floor rpi : put domoticz on it as usual and add him to your ground floor domoticz, each of them will have his own device, but 1st floor one will share with ground floor.

2nd - on you 1st floor rpi install ser2net, config it : http://lesser-evil.com/2013/04/raspberr ... le-server/ (rflink speed is 57600). Once done add a rflink with lan on your ground domoticz and set rpi 1st floor ip + port you choose on ser2net.

And voila !

I think I'll go for the first one, thanks. I've seen an option in domo to add an rflink with lan adapter but I haven't been able to understand how do it. Is this something I buy? Any good info out there? My searches seem to always end up in Dutch forums…

Kinda a lot of work, better use the build in function of domoticz

Looked at it at the time. Costed me more euro ( hardware) compared to ser2net solution and requires me to monitor 2 domoticz daemons or in my case 3.
