Cheap Chinese Rainmeter

Post by azonneveld »

I have bought this rainmeter: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33036122271.html
It is discussed in this topic: https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopi ... 49&t=16752

It should be working, as stated by:

the rainmeter arrived today but it does not connect to domoticz. In the list of available protocols in the hardware section of the rfxcom the RFlink protocol is NOT listed.

Suggestions?
Now this rain meter is working with RFXCOM and on RFXtrx433E with Pro2 Firmware version 1031. Great !
:D
My setup is:
domoticz 4.10717
RFXCom Pro XL1 fw 1041

Could someone help me out, or just point a direction on how to solve this?

inserted working link to shop
updated rfxcom fw version

Flash the latest firmware version 1040 and use RFXflash!!!

FW release 433_1040 12-08-2019
FineOffset/WS1200 improved

If the sensor is not received in RFXmngr with FineOffset enabled contact support rfxcom.com

Yes, rainmeter now works with RFXCOM after firmware 1040, but problems from then on with Oregon Scientific: https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopi ... 44&t=33568

Update:

I have the rainmeter running for almost a year now. It consumed two sets of batteries so far (2x AAA).

Nice to know, in case the batteries are running low, the rainmeter becomes a jamming device. It keeps transmitting rubbish and that causes interference on other RFXcom connected devices. So, replace the batteries betimes
