Sometimes it's useful to know if the house is currently exporting or importing power from the grid.
DomBusTH is a cheap domotic board with temperature and relative humidity sensor, touch sensor, 4 inputs and 2 outputs, and red + green + white leds.
While the white led can be used as emergency light (in case of blackout), the red and green leds can be programmed to show the amount of kWh exported (green) or imported (red).
This is the link of a video showing the result:
....
2 red flashes => 1-2kW exported
1 red flash => 0-1kW imported
1 green flash => 0-1kW exported
2 green flashes => 1-2kW exported
3 green flashes => 2-3kW exported
...
The Youtube video https://youtu.be/DA0l7Wn4jBg shows the result.

A simple automation is needed to write the number of pulses that red and green leds have to emit: in my case I'm using the script power.lua that can be found in https://github.com/CreasolTech/domoticz_lua_scripts , that manages all power features in my house, but it's very easy to write a script that get power information from the energy meter and write the value to the red or green led, configured in Domoticz as SELECTOR_SWITCH.
If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer!
