HA Bridge Help

Post by DanM »

Hi,

I'm trying to set up HA Bridge as per the Alexa wiki page. I'm getting the following error "Change device state, Could not send data for network request: http://xx:8080/json.htm?type=command&pa ... itchcmd=On with Message: HTTP request may not be null"

There are quite a few extra fields in the version I'm running vs what the wiki describes so chances are I'm just making a rudimentary mistake. I'm running the latest version of the bridge - any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Does the url you are using operate your device in a browser?

Hmmm...so just took a look at my setup.

My Domoticz devices are set as:

Target - Encapsulated
Device Type - Custom
Map Type - --Please Select--

Same?

You have no login set for your Domoticz instance right?

Exactly the same. No login. For the on url I have http://192.168.0.4:8080/json.htm?type=c ... itchcmd=On

There is a http headers line that ive ignored and a http verb that Ive also ignored.

Scratch this - deleted the device I was setting up. Set it up again with the exact same configuration - works! Thanks for your help though.

I'm at a loss I'm afraid...you are trying to switch a scene...have you tried with just a binary light?

do you need to fill this headers in? because i dotn get it to work, my json link in a browser is working fine.. but when i do "test on" its not working..

my habridge is running on the samer rpi as my domoticz but i dont think there is the problem? or should i use "localhost' for ip or something in the json link?
