All nodes lost manufacturer and product ID

Post by przemhb »

What may causing all nodes have lost Manufacturer ID, Product types and names?
All my nodes with exception of the Aeotec Z-Stick Gen 5 controller lost these details (as shown in screenshot).
Single node is shown in OZW control panel.

I'm not sure when exactly this started. One thing that pop to my mind is I've played a bit with domoticz service settings - at some point in time I've changed
USERDATA="/usr/share/domoticz/" to USERDATA="/usr/share/domoticz/Config/" in /etc/sysconfig/domoticz contiaining environmental variables for domoticz service.
This was an attempt to fix problem desrcibed here:
http://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic ... 59#p194659
I've reverted the change and restarted the service, but product and manufacturer IDs aren't back.

Example from ozwcache xml:

Code: Select all

    <Node id="4" name="" location="" basic="4" generic="8" specific="4" type="Setpoint Thermostat" listening="false" frequentListening="false" beaming="true" routing="true" max_baud_rate="40000" version="4" configrevision="0" query_stage="Probe">
        <Manufacturer id="0" name="Unknown: id=0000">
            <Product type="0" id="0" name="Unknown: type=0000, id=0000">
                <MetaData />
            </Product>
        </Manufacturer>
How to fix it?

The issue persists, although thermostats and one of door sensors have now shown their IDs. What helped a bit was stopping domoticz service, disconnecting Z-Stick, reconnecting it back and starting domoticz service.
All the time domoticz is controlling all thermostats and light switches and dimmers. OpenZWave control panel stays completely empty.

I've stopped domoticz service once again, disconnected Z-Stick, deleted /usr/share/domoticz/ozwcache_<HomeID>.xml, reconnected Z-Stick and started service. IDs reappeared with one exception. Node I have a problem with - one of door sensors (018) - it does not exclude, include neither performs factory reset. I've tried this having Z-Stick close to the sensor and using Z-Stick's exclusion/inclusion modes.
Nevertheless it's one step forward in the right direction.

Unfortunately OpenZWave control panel stays empty. At the moment I have no idea why?

As you may see some of the nodes (020 - 026) still have unknown IDs (zeros). With the aforementioned exception (018) all of these are nodes which were factory reset while being included. I am also wondering how to delete them?

I've removed the nodes 20-26 following advice from Aeotec support http://docs.incontrolha.com/home/remove-a-failed-device.
I've used Zensys Tools to do this.

I've had to stop domoticz service, disconnect Z-Stick from my Linux server and connect it to PC running Windows and then started Zensys Tools. It allows to remove failed nodes.

Only one of the nodes was marked as failed. I've removed the node by running Remove Failed Node.
For the rest of the nodes running Is Node Failed command resulted in negative reply. For those I've toggled Queue Override, invoked Node Info, waited a moment until it failed and then Remove Failed Node. In the way I succeeded to remove all the nodes.

Before starting domoticz service it was necessary to delete ozwcache_<HomeID>.xml file.
