Hard reset z-wave usb stick does not work

Post by Keleos »

Hello everyone,

I'm new to Domoticz and I have a question :)

After some trying (adding and removing units to the z-wave network) the ids of new devices are now high. I've read a lot and everyone says, that I have to reset the usb stick. This seems legit because I also setup a fresh copy of Domoticz and even there the ids continue from the last value. This means, the the usb stick stores this value inside itself.

When I go to the OpenZWave Control Panel and hit the Reset button (next to the Soft Reset) it asks if I'm sure and then... nothing. Also after I restart Domoticz all units of the network are still there.

So I checked the Chrome console and there is an error:
POST http://192.168.1.2:8080/ozwcp/devpost.html 404 (Not Found)

What is my mistake? I hope you can help me out.

Greetings
Keleos

PS:
I'm using a raspberry pi (1 B) with latest beta domoticz (because of the many settings for z-wave units) and german language settings (if this is important).

When you go to hardware >> z-wave stick, then in the pulldown menu for the control panel there should be a reset option to. ( at least with my razberry) have you tried that one?

Hi,

thank you very much for your reply. This helped me a lot. The german translation is very confusing because the soft and hard reset are wrong:
Soft reset - Warmstart (translated back means warm start)
Hard reset - Kaltstart (translated back means cold start)...

Now everything works perfectly. Thanks again.

Question solved :)
