Post by Trigun »

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the status of a switch if you switch it by hand(with regular switch) or switching it via a script or domoticz interface?

thnx!

Standard there is no difference.
If you change status by a script you can do some things to identify that the switch was triggered by the script,
Using a second (dummy) switch or a uservariable or by editing the description field of the switch and maybe by some other creative solutions.
Debian buster, bullseye on RPI-4, Intel NUC.
dz Beta, Z-Wave, RFLink, RFXtrx433e, P1, Youless, Hue, Yeelight, Xiaomi, MQTT
