Hi all just to confirm on my own question ;)
The merge feature does work On the latest stable version of Domoticz.
Although if i look at the JS code i see that it only works of sensors within the utilities type. So a combination of a sensor with lux and motion is not an possibility at the moment ...

I was looking for a way to gather a snapshot with a lua command.
I see that there is a command within the blockly interface to send a snapshot by email (which works fine btw, but email is a little slow..). So i'm curious if i'm overlooking some possibility withing the commandarray to ...
