First I want to thank you for all your great work Moroen!
I followed your steps, but after a restart of Domoticz it still shows version 0.9.17.
Any thought?
With kind regards,
Andrès

Re: Best practices for Domoticz logfile?
I copied the actual log file to /var/log as an experiment and updated the log definition. Let's see what happens tonight. Wouldn't you believe it? My copied log in /var/log rotated fine last night. Next step is to find out what is the difference. It must be access rights to the folder. Nice! I ...

Re: ideAlarm (A dzVents alarm environment)
Hi everybody! Is someone still using this ideAlarm? Just curious, I'm still using it and it keeps doing it's job. Haven't found anything better. Since it's not being updated, someone else found anything newer/better? +1? Does this work well? I would like to ditch my 433mhz alarm and switch to Z ...

Re: Best practices for Domoticz logfile?
Unfortunately no luck so far. I didn't have the delaycompress (I had it surpressed), so I added it again. Also the postrotate and endscript were surpressed, which should only be better, but in any case... I also found an empty extra line under the accolade, so I removed that as well. Let's see what ...

Re: Best practices for Domoticz logfile?
I just installed this option, and indeed it won't work. Curious is anyone else has a working logrotation. For now I put the " sudo logrotate -v /etc/logrotate.d/domoticz" in crontab. Does the crontab option work for you? For me it doesn't work either. Good news! It works on my side. Last night, or ...

Re: HowTo: monitor Synology NAS
Another question: I've added the FAN status to my script. The data is 1 = ok 2 = not ok (From the MIB documentation) I've added a virtual sensor, type text. it is updates nicely. But a sensor of type text is a bit ugly in the web gui. 2 questions: 1. is it possible to use a different type of sensor ...

Re: Goodbye Domoticz ? OZW 1.6 nightmare
I have 32 nodes,11 are powered by 230v and the remaining are through battery. I heard all the horror stories about the upgrade to 1.6. Well, this week I did the update to 2020. After this I had to wake-up all the battery powered nodes and did a reconnect. Every node came back without any issues, and ...

Hey guys,
I'm getting notifications from every topic since a few weeks while not having subscribed to it. Am I the only one? Is the forum broken?

Re: dzVentz Alarm Script starte here..
Interesting. I started the original wiki and, as if yesterday have begun completely rewriting my alarm system due to dzvents being much more flexible. One objective was to reduce all the dummy devices that were needed before, the other is to reduce current complexity. Unfortunately I did find some ...

Re: [REQUEST] Ikea Trådfri Gateway (smart lights hub controller) plugin?
Well....the reboot did work, not for long. It's so bad now that the Ikea app won't connect from time to time and looses it's settings. Is there a way to go back to the 8 version? The 0.9.0 really killed it. There's a new version available (0.9.1) that hopefully should address this and the (frequent ...
