Re: Sharing P1 Smart Meter USB between remote and master
Well, that is a very specific use case. Normally you would connect an esp or something similar to those pulse counters and send the data to the Domoticz server. Setting up an extra Domoticz server for solely counter measurement is overkill. I have exactly the same issue and use case as mentioned by ...

Re: Calculating actual energy consumption
I had a related experience where I needed to streamline how I monitored my energy consumption. Initially, I manually tracked in Excel, much like you're doing. However, integrating this data into a more intelligent system made a big difference. For your situation with Domoticz, creating a dummy ...

Re: Rain Rate Notification/Alerts when heavy rain
With regards to the current notification one can setup for a rain gauge device seems to be based on the accumulated rain for the recent 24h or the current day (haven't paid the much attention to it yet). But, is missing which would be more interesting and crucial in some areas if one could setup a ...

Re: Envisalink integration
It works for me. Envisalink 4 with honeywell ademco system. I'm looking to expand and run it through alarmserver though and need to get that working. Or adapt this code to somehow send code strings.. I can't seem to figure out a way to get it to do that, need to probably write some code here but ...

Re: Envisalink integration
Hi, I was surprised and glad to find the EnvisaLink plugin by @dnpwwo on Git. I have an old Envisalink3 board that I wanted to connect to over my network. I have a DSC alarm system with various sensors and it would be fantastic to include those in my HA environment. I beleive the plugin is developed ...

Re: Calculating actual energy consumption
Thank you @akamming and @lost! I would never have thought of the issues with the API's 15 minutes delay if you hadn't mentioned it. Currently I am normally only reviewing daily data, but it explains some strange readings when viewing production/consumption in "real time". This will be a fun project ...

Re: Calculating actual energy consumption
Thank you @manjh! It will be my first LUA script, and also my first virtual device!
Anyone aware of an example LUA script including reading values from a device and storing it in a virtual device?

Calculating actual energy consumption
I have the 'SolarEdge via Web API' hardware installed and it works like a clock. Also, my 'P1 Smart Meter' hardware works fantastic. To know my 'true' energy consumption I need to calculate it, basically like this: Energy bought from the utlitiy company (P1) plus Energy produced by my solar panels ...

Re: Tradfri Motion sensor with KAKU Christmas Tree
If you are using the Ikea Tradfri plugin it, according to https://github.com/moroen/IKEA-Tradfri- ... /README.md by moroen, explicitly state it does not support motion sensors. Just to save you some time

NGentic Tune + Aeotec Home Energy meter gen 5 - steer/measure my heater
Hi, I am looking at solutions to steer and measure my 10 year old heating system (NIBE EVC 240) in a smarter way to save energy costs. For steering I found a solution with NGenic Tune (about 330 EUR) https://ngenic.se/tune/ and just wanted to know if anyone have experience of this device? Some ...
