Re: Easiest way to migrate Openzwave to ZWave-JS-UI

Snap or docker are the way to go. That should not be the way to go if this thing was not designed with too many avoidable dependencies. Really hope there is indeed a way to avoid this containerization stuff, but did not tried myself and not willing to for now: Being compelled to this to drive some ...

Snap or docker are the way to go. Enough posts in this topic on that.

So, please forgive my multitude of stupid questions... But i'm trying to ease into this, to see if it fixes some issues i have with the python plugin. It will fix python plugin issues, as its not a python plugin. Domoticz MQTT Autodiscovery hardware is written in C and is part of the Domoticz ...

Re: ShellyTeacher for Domoticz

Having issues with the plugin, so I thought I'd give this one a try. Rather user unfriendly for non programmers it seems. Too much config outside of domoticz. Hope this improves. It is not a plugin. It is a helper application for simple beings who dont want to send config templates manually to ...

Jan Jansen wrote: Friday 08 September 2023 16:38 Hello,

After reading this topic, it has not become clear to me whether the plugin also works with the Tahoma switch. It has a local API too.

Can you confirm that the plugin also works with the Tahoma switch?

Thanks in advance
Would have been quick enough to test of course. But yes.

Re: Easiest way to migrate Openzwave to ZWave-JS-UI

Perhaps better use docker..... Talked to them and looks like the Razberry isn't supported installed using snap, to install Docker I need to upgrade OS. Option is to reinstalling everything, I have another Rpi3 that I could do a fresh installation on. But looks Like I'm going to keep to the stable ...

Re: Easiest way to migrate Openzwave to ZWave-JS-UI

Re: Easiest way to migrate Openzwave to ZWave-JS-UI

@sincze; that's the same firmware i'm on. Unfortunatly do have some issues with devices becoming unresponsive.
Only way to fix it is to manually remove the mqtt messages with mqtt explorer.

I have the retain option set to yes, according to the manual.

Re: Easiest way to migrate Openzwave to ZWave-JS-UI

I'm pretty annoyed while moving from a perfect OpenZwave 1.6. to this Zwave-JS-UI. I now have: zwave0706.png - Not all devices are now KNOWN anymore (Fibaro, NEO) - Not all devices have all their capabilities (some even don't switch on/off but do report their W , V kWh just fine) Any tips on how to ...

I haven't seen any guides apart from snap or docker.

Re: Easiest way to migrate Openzwave to ZWave-JS-UI

Yup, same reason I went for snap. Docker seems to be quite heavy on config and resources on a pi.

Although I didnt have any issues with that step of the snap manual.

Did you try the home assistant manual for this part of the install?

Just had a couple of crashes, so i thought i'd have a look at the logfile.
Totally unusable, since it's amost 7GB again.

Is something wrong with my install? Is this default behavior?
