Re: SD to SSD
Ok,sounds good. My Pi is an 3B+. I'll have a look how to change the boot options. Do you have any thoughts about this combination: https://geekworm.com/products/x820-v3-0-usb-3-0-2-5-inch-sata-hdd-ssd-storage-expansion-board?variant=39294783619160 Looks nice that I can build it all in a small ...

Re: Have to restart once a week
Well it's a while ago, but I keep getting chrashes. I disabled the hardware from the airco's. That's at least one problem less because there is no new domoticz_crash.log generated. Now I found some strange things in the other log: - Error: dzVents: Error: (3.1.7) /home/pi/domoticz/dzVents/runtime ...

Re: Have to restart once a week
I had the same kind of problem. It disappeared after I updated to a version where a memory leak in json was fixed. The memory leak manifested in my case in the zigbee2mqtt plugin. What Domoticz version are you on? If you enabled the Motherboard Sensors there should be a device named "Process Usage ...

Re: Have to restart once a week
Could also be another program on your Pi that is hampering Domoticz. The Memory Spike is not normal. If there is a memory leak you will see a slow rise in usage. Is there something else running on this system? Check the crash log again to see what caused Domoticz to crash. A crash once a week is a ...

Re: Have to restart once a week
Use the ‘motherboard’ hardware module to keep track of CPU and memory usage. If memory is leaked somewhere, it could bring Domoticz to a stand stil without actually crashing… Ok, I added these motherboard sensors. Lets see if something strange happened at the next crash This morning the system was o ...

Re: Have to restart once a week
Yes I mean the log file. If you changed the Domoticz startup script it is also stored on disk. In the web only the latest part of the logging is shown. To see the full log you have to store the log to disk. Errors are shown longer. In the troubleshooting page there is a section about activating the ...

Re: Have to restart once a week
Ah, now I see how I could find that. Ok, by monitor the log you mean the log in setup->log and then when I had to restart again?
Or are there more logs I don't know about?

Re: Have to restart once a week
Here is a good start: https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Troubleshooting I would start with investigation of the crash log. If it leads to a specific Domoticz hardware update the appropriate plugin (if possible). Thanks, I found the crash log. And the signal_handler was in there in Thread 21. But I don ...

Have to restart once a week
Hello guys, It's a while ago I was here. Everything was working great for a while. But somehow the last months I have to restart once a week? I start putty and type: sudo service domoticz.sh restart Then everything works fine again for a week. I can't see anything in setup->log. Can someone point me ...

Wrong status
Hello, I have an issue with Domoticz. Somehow the status in Domoticz is sometimes different then the real status. Over a few days I had it with a windowsensor a Fibaroswitch (attached to my badroom extraction) and thermostat. When I discover it and change it in domoticz it's fine again. Especially ...

Re: Event triggered automatically
A push on button won't go to the state off. It's always in the on state. So every time your script starts it Wil see the button is on. The blocky script starts by every device change, so more often then you think. If you make the button to go off the script won't do thee actions. Hopefully it helps ...

Re: Script sending muliple messages [Solved]
I'm sorry I'm staring at it for a while so it's naturally to me😉. I switch on my alarm in 2 zones: Or the complete house, when we leave. The alarm is triggered by a keypad wit an Fibaro Smart Implant. This SI has 2 switches, 'Alarm Switch 1' and 'Alarm Switch 2'. Alarm switch 1 is for alarm off, a ...

Script sending muliple messages [Solved]
Hi, I wrote an alarm script. I have an alarm pad with an fibaro Smart implant attached. If I switch of the alarm ('Alarm Switch 1') by this box, the message 'Alarm uitgeschakeld' is send 3 times. I thought I fixed it with the uservariable 'Var Alarm. This fixed sending it 20 times, but it's still ...

Sorry I'm not a good programmer also. I just use the log as you find it at settings->log then there you should find the recent action so you can maybe also see what causes the delay. The button or the script

Re: Strange behaviour , mutiple commands
I'll try if I can help. At first I can't see the pictures in your first post. Can you post the again? Then if I understand it right the scripts result is slow. As asked, what does the log say? It sounds to me as something you can easy do again so you can watch the log? The you don't need to look at ...
