Re: RTL_433 with watchman oil tank
I'm trying to monitor my oil level via an Apollo ultrasonic sensor. I have installed rtl_433 for Windows, and run it with protocol 43. This is what I see: D:\XPS_8700 Extended Files\Users\RowanB\Downloads\rtl_433-win-x64-21.12> .\rtl_433_64bit_static.exe -R 43 rtl_433 version 21.12 branch at ...

It's still a real question which I would still like the answer to.

Re: 1wire installation for windows
Has anyone been able to use this French file? When I try to install it I get some French error messages. If not, how do I support Onewire devices (specifically the DS18B20 temperature sensor) in Domoticz? If I can't find out how to do this, I'm going to have to switch to a different home automation ...

Heating Control
I want to develop a system for control of my heating room-by-room. I am thinking of buying the Xiaomi temperature/humidity sensor (maybe this one: https://www.banggood.com/Original-Xiaomi-Mijia-Smart-Home-Temperature-and-Humidity-Sensor-Thermometer-Sensor-p-1046061.html?akmClientCountry=GB&rmmds ...

Re: Cheap chinese z-wave products
My Domoticz _does_ have a Z-Wave dongle. Has anyone successfully connected one of the small round Fibaro temperature sensors to Domoticz without a Fibaro controller? If so, how?

Re: Cheap chinese z-wave products
Fibaro claims to be Z-Wave, so I bough a temperature sensor, assuming that I could access it from Domoticz, but when it arrived, I found that I could not communicate with it via any means that I could discover. I have a feeling that it said somewhere that it operated at 2.4GHz, which is not Z-Wave ...

> aaaah -- it's not under the "main" menu but under the settings -> more settings. I didn't see that. I don't understand this. As far as I can see, Domoticz doesn't have a Settings menu. It has Setup, but under Setup there is no More Settings (or More Setup) sub-menu. Can someone please explain to ...

Re: Cheap chinese z-wave products
Thanks for those comments. Yes, I was thinking Z-Wave. You can use Z-Uno or the upcoming Z-Uno-Mini to avoid those Z-Wave licencing costs. And the ZM5101 chip costs £8.88 one off from Digikey (but much lower prices in large volume of course). Yes, rrozema, those are all the benefits that I hope to ...

Re: Cheap chinese z-wave products
I don't really call this cheap. I have 15 rooms in my house that potentially need temperature control. To fit one of these in each of these rooms is going to cost me over £300. I don't see why such a sensor needs to contain more than an 8466 chip, a DS18B20 temperature sensor, a 3V coin battery, and ...

Re: RTL_433 with watchman oil tank
I have joined this thread a long time later. I too want to monitor my oil tank level. I have an Apollo ultrasonic sensor mounted on the tank with the matching Apollo display in the house, but now I want to monitor within Domoticz running on a Windows PC. The beginning of this thread doesn't explain ...

Has anyone seen a chinese (cheap) z-wave temperature sensor? Neo doesn't seem to have one on their pages.

Re: Domoticz with Bluetooth
Is the Comet Blue exactly the same and fully compatible wit the Equiva EHT CLASSIC BLV2 as bought from Reichelt then? In your original message you said "I was on the same journey". Did you actually achieve this, and get the valve controllable and readable from Domoticz? Did you have to write or ...

Re: Domoticz with Bluetooth
Thanks for your reply. This sounds a good approach. Do you know which Bluetooth profiles the device supports? Does it support the serial port profile? Do you know the commands to do all the things that this device can do, e.g. Open the valve Close the valve Maybe open the valve to a certain ...

Domoticz with Bluetooth
Can I use Domoticz to control a bluetooth radiator valve made by Equiva, sold by Reichelt? What would I need in order to control this device? All I need to do is to be able to open and close the valve (either fully, or to some % open) when readings from the sensors tell me to. Although this valve ...

Re: Can I use Domoticz with Onewire sensors?
I just checked the Wiki. It told me where to find a file called OneWireDomoticzServiceInstaller.msi, but when I go to this location, there is no such file. Where do I find this file?

Me too.
Does this file exist?
Did it used to exist?
If someone has a copy of it, can they please post it somewhere where people who need it can find it?
Thanks - Rowan

Re: Can I use Domoticz with Onewire sensors?
Surely some people would find this useful? Surely it can't be that difficult to do? I can use the DS9490R USB-to-OneWire interface, which I believe emulates a serial port... If it doesn't exist, can I write this extension to Domoticz myself? Is there some documentation and sample code for starting ...

Re: Can I use Domoticz with Onewire sensors?
Did you search the forum already? There is a lot of information about OneWire support Yes, I tried. Much of the information in the forum is concerned with running on an Arduino or a Rasp-Pi, which is (I imagine) very different to trying to run on Windows, which I am. If there is a relevant ...

Domoticz with Fibaro Z-Wave temperature sensor
Can I use a Fibaro temperature sensor with Domoticz? I have a SA413-1 USB to Z-Wave-Plus adapter. What do I need to get this to talk to Domoticz so I can read temperatures from the Fibaro sensor?
