OK, did it, albeit with Home Assistant. A similar method set-up would work with Domoticz.
See https://github.com/ronschaeffer/hass-light-state.
In the end I went with Sonoffs/Shellys connected to the light ring. They power up and send an MQTT message to notify of switch on, and the MQTT broker ...

RFXtrx433E + KAKU/COCO/Trust AYCT-202
Hello-
Is anyone using the KAKU/COCO/Trust AYCT-202 https://www.trust.com/en/product/71164-remote-control-ayct-202 with an RFXtrx433E? I assumed that it the unit would transmit Lighting5/LightwaveRF, but I haven't been able to pick up transmissions with that or any other modes on the RFXtrx433E. I ...

Re: Tado Thermostat plugin
Hi there -When I check the log, Domoticz is chatting with each of my Tado thermostats every minute. I don't really need that amount of precision. Is it possible to reduce the checks to, say, every 10 minutes to reduce network traffic?

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hello-
Apologies if this has been asked before. I couldn't find it in the thread. Is it possible to query status of a device, e.g.:
- "Is the bedroom light on?"
- "Is the front door closed?"
Thanks,
Ron

Hello-
I’ve been pondering the idea of DIYing on/off status indication for LightwaveRF Gen 1 wired light switches to show the correct on/off status in Domoticz. Because the Gen 1 wired light switches do not transmit a wireless signal when switched on or off manually, Domoticz is unaware of the ...
