Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?

I tried to follow instructions but I'm already stuck at the first part. I downloaded the app from the Play Store but the app does not see my Xiaomi Gateway. How do I pair with the gateway ?

Edit: you need to set region to China Mainland in the app, otherwise it won't pair. Fixed it.

Dash buttons now available on Amazon.de

The dashbuttons are now available on Amazon.de. On Github are quite a few projects that allow you to use the Dash to trigger actions.

Re: Which unknown device is what?

With Kaku you will allways see unknown devices because your RFXcom will pickup devices from neighbours etc. Uncheck "Accept new Hardware Devices" in Settings and "Allow for 5 minutes" when adding devices.

I have included the node, it seemed it was to for from the controller. But now I have moved the dimmer back to its intended location it can't be reached. Logging says: 2016-08-20 12:11:45.554 Error: OpenZWave: Node has failed (or is not alive), Switch command not sent! (NodeID: 5, 0x05) Network ...

Re: P1-wifi gateway (ESPEasy based)

I gave up on this, I had 20+ crashes per day. I've changed my setup to a slave instance of Domoticz with a P1 USB cable. It never crashed since.

I like the idea if only Domoticz had the same clean interface as Openhab 2.0.1

Re: P1-wifi gateway (ESPEasy based)

I have a Kaifa, I'm using the recommended settings. It runs. For 10 minutes, then everything crashes. In my opinion this is not beta, this is experimental. I think I'll revert to rpi+p1 usb. Ran for years without crashing a single time.

Re: Qubino Weather Station ZMNHZD1

What is the point in "converting" from 433mhz to z-wave ? If rfxcom knows the Qubino protocol you can skip the z-wave part.

Very nice project ! But: why rely on Kaku for switching the irrigation on ? I would opt for zwave because its much safer and more relieable.

Re: Step by step guide: Sonos integration

Get a free api-key from http://www.voicerss.org/ and you can get spoken (TTS) messages like: "The lights are off" when switching lights off.

usage example : http://yourserver:5005/LiveRoom/say/The lights are off

Ps: did anyone find a way the display the artist/track info in Domoticz ?

update with git pull

I've installed Domoticz on my Ubuntu server through GIT. Now I want to update to the latest version with "git pull". git says I have changed a local file "Config/manufacturer_specific.xml". That's correct, I had to add a line for my zwave.net device. How do I update with loosing the local change I ...
