Installed latest beta and setup the Uservariable for the gasmeter on channel 2.
Gasmeter shows up fine again.
Thanks for all the help.

Re: No more P1 gas readings after upgrade to 3.8153
@BlueMoon Since version 3.8153 does some more checking on the input, and that's where this issue comes up. So the expected physical changes could perfectly well have been applied way earlier. Thanks. I had dismissed 3.8153 as a possible cause since it had been around since july and the gasmeter ...

Re: No more P1 gas readings after upgrade to 3.8153
@gordonb3 Thanks for your explanation, also earlier in this thread. You already made it very clear that a second (phantom) gas meter on the M bus created this problem. My question was about how this second gas meter could pop up out of nowhere. No physical changes to the 2 meters. Software update ...

Re: No more P1 gas readings after upgrade to 3.8153
@edgar So if you are in the same boat and see an extra gasmeter on a extra channel, you can call your grid operator (in my case Liander) and when describing this problem, say that this is for the smart meter division. The people working there know how to solve this. They do it remotely with a minor ...

Re: No more P1 gas readings after upgrade to 3.8153
@mosjonathan
Thanks. I'll keep this in mind, but for now I try to avoid beta's at my friends setup. In beta there is now a option to set a uservariable to select gasmeter channel.

Re: No more P1 gas readings after upgrade to 3.8153

Re: P1 smart Meter: Gas value readout stays zero
Last night at 00:00 the Gas meter readings started to show up in Domoticz. First reading of course the total use of the last 2 days ;-) Everything seems fine now. Every data-block now has a '0-1:24.2.1' entry with the m^3 value below the '0-1:24.0.1' device type entry. Meter readings took ~36 hours ...

Re: P1 smart Meter: Gas value readout stays zero
Of course standards exist to be broken, so the fact that the datagram you posted did not contain such a line does not qualify as a conclusion, but it does look like your gas meter is not connected. Had looked into that, but on the Energy meter the correct Gas meter number is displayed, so I assume ...

Re: P1 smart Meter: Gas value readout stays zero
Ok. Dead end.
Reading the "P1 Companion Standard" I understand my Gas meter is on channel 1 to the Smart meter.
So a Gas use value should look like "0-1:24.2.1(xxxxx...) ?
So far haven't seen such a code in Putty when looking at my PI with 'cat /dev/ttyUSB0'

Re: P1 smart Meter: Gas value readout stays zero
but AFAIK if a gas meter is connected its data should be in every datagram. Doing some troubleshooting: Rate limit for the Smart meter hardware set to 180 secs. In the Log now every second data block has a Gas reading, as recognized by Domoticz apparently. see: 2017-05-04 16:20:37.291 (Smart meter ...

Re: P1 smart Meter: Gas value readout stays zero
PM is okay.

Re: P1 smart Meter: Gas value readout stays zero
Met alle plezierCan you forward me a P1 datagram so I can have a look?

Just tell me how to make a 'datagram'. Suppose this isn't the same as the log under settings.

Re: P1 smart Meter: Gas value readout stays zero
Hello. New user here. Very impressed with Domoticz so far :D Just had my new smart meters installed yesterday, and have a Raspberry PI connected running Domoticz as slave to another RPI. Both were on stable version 3.5877. Smart meter was recognized and Energy and Gas were available as hardware ...
